Number of max players allowed with 1, 2, or 3 impostor
In the waiting room of Local multiplayer or in the host,
If you choose to have 1 single impostor then the max players can be 4 to 10. In those max players, they include the impostor, which means if you choose a 10 max player game then it will have 9 crewmates and 1 impostor.
If you choose to have 2 impostors then the max players can be 7 to 10. In those max players, they include the impostor, which means if you choose a 10 max player game then it will have 8 crewmates and 2 impostors.
If you choose to have 3 impostors then the max players can be 9 to 10 only. In those max players, they include the impostor, which means if you choose a 10 max player game then it will have 7 crewmates and 3 impostors.
Why Number of Max Players with 1, 2, or 3 Impostors change?
You can choose the number of impostors but you don’t have the freedom to choose the number of max players.
In the case of the 1 impostor, max players can be 4 to 10 because at least 3 players can be handled by 1 impostor but if there are 2 or 1 crewmates then they cant guess the impostor, and voting will also be not properly done with fewer members that’s why they don’t include the 2 or 3 max players in the game with the combination of 1 impostor.
In the case of 2 impostor chosen 7 to 10 max players allowed because in 7 members there will 5 crewmates and 2 impostors which is a good ratio but if the max players are 4 or less then there will be 50:50 chances of winning of an impostor as well as crewmates but on the other hand, impostors are not identified if they kill one player, in this case, they will win easily that’s why they allowed only 7 max players and more.
In the case of 3 impostors, there will be 9 to 10 max Payers allowed, and as we said above to maintain impostor: crewmate ratio max players should be 9 or more in the case of 3 impostors.
